托福考試的評分標準簡單地可以概括成三個要素：

● Expression
所以同學們要對于自己的文章進行一定的提升，可以從這幾個角度來準備。
那么對于語言類的考試，很多同學可能在語言的提升方面無從下手，那么看看ETS給出的對于語言的幾個要求，‘Displays consistent facility in the use of language, demonstrating syntactic variety, appropriate word choice and axiomaticity, though it may have minor lexical or grammatical errors ’ 其實無非就是從句式和詞匯切入。
下面是關于語言提升的小技巧：
Avoid wordy expressions
有時候句子里出現很多幾乎沒有意義的一些詞會使句子的語意表達過于累贅，從而出現湊字數的問題，顯得句子沒有那么concise.
例如：My decision to choose accounting as my major will lead to steady, rewarding employment.
改進：My decision to choose Choosing accounting as my major will lead to steady, rewarding employment.
句子結構的平行
平行結構就是用and并列單詞、短語或是句子。在句子中添加平行結構會使語意表達更通順流暢，同時也easier to understand.
例如：A thesis statement that is clear, strong supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion that should be interesting are all elements of a well-written essay.
改進：A clear thesis statement that is clear, strong supporting paragraphs, and aan interesting conclusion that should be interesting are all elements of a well-written essay.
Nominalization名詞化
這個方式是使句子中的動詞或形容詞轉換成名詞的形式，這樣會使語意的表達更加的書面。
例如：The professor refused to extend the deadline, which made the students feel annoyed.
改進：The professor’s refusal of a deadlineextension caused student annoyance.
